Purpose of QA/QC Manager

Organizes, implement, conduct and manage the QMS as per Project Requirements, contract specifications, and the latest ISO 9001 standard.

Monitor the Project Activates With coordination with QC Engineers.

Review and verify documents requirements as per Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) prior to submission to PMT for final acceptance.

Generate Non-conformance reports to activities not conforming to project specifications and monitor detailed action plans for closeout.

Roles and Responsibilities of QA/QC Manager

Act as the Management Representative for onsite quality management matters.

Implementation, maintenance, review, and improvement of the Quality Control Plan.

Responsible for the review and authorizing changes to the quality plan, in coordination with the Quality Manager.

Determine the structure of the project Quality Team.

Responsible for determining the sequence and interaction of the processes and procedures in accomplishing all tasks.

Ensures all activities are in accordance with the PQP and the procedures applicable to the project to meet customer requirements.

Motivate and train personnel involved

Make necessary follow-up of Quality records and documents for approval to the Client’s Representative.

Monitor timely completion of corrective and preventive action on NCR’s, CPAR’s, and Customer Complaints with the site Quality Team.

Analyze data gathered in line with the implementation of the Quality management system and provide necessary improvements.

Develop and initiate the method statements in the project and liaise with the Project Manager for advice on technical and contractual issues.

Advice to all parties regarding compliance with the Quality Management System

Ensures that the Project Management Review Meeting is being conducted on a regular basis.

  • Provide quality advice to the Project Director and other personnel as required.
  • Supervise all QC/QC activities of the project.
  •  Ensure sub-contractors/suppliers conform to Project specification/Standard requirements. (Roles and Responsibilities of QA/QC Manager)
  • Liaise with the Project Director & Project Manager for Project Quality requirements.
  • Act to resolve major contract non-conformance.
  • Attends periodic coordination meeting with the Project Engineer.
  • To monitor, evaluate and improve the performance of the QA/QC team.

Perform quality reviews, internal audits, internal audit result review, and performance analysis and quality improvements.

Give advice to all parties regarding compliance with Quality Management System when it is required.

Make Coordination with Site Quality Team

Coordinate with Site Quality Team to ensure the documentation, maintenance and submission of handover documents (As-Built, O&M manual, etc.) as per Quality Management System and contractual requirements.

Coordinate with the Quality Department Manager to ensure an established Contractor Quality Management System is being implemented as per the ISO 9001:2008.

Ensures the calibration of all measuring and testing equipment and devices for the project.

Authorize request for exemption of any requirements from the quality management system requirements if any. (Roles and Responsibilities of QA/QC Manager)

  • Prepare weekly and monthly Quality Reports as per the PMT requirements.
  • Distribution of Quality Manuals.
  • Review of New documents prior to Approval.
  • Maintenance of Quality Documents.
  • Internal and statuary audit co-ordination.

Internal / External Communications

Internally with Quality Department Manager in Collaboration with Project Director.

Externally with Client/Consultant/Engineer/Subcontractor/Supplier Representatives.
